CIM Convention 2016

This week, The Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy, and Petroleum, hosted their annual conference in Vancouver, Canada. A team from RIGID ROBOTICS attended the convention, which also featured our DriveAssist™ platform.

The Global Mining Standards and Guidelines Group (GMSG) displayed DriveAssist™ in booth number #1343. GMSG showcased DriveAssist™ as part of their unified display project.

The unified display project hopes to reduce the complexity faced by mining operators through integrating systems and eliminating multiple displays.

SME Annual Conference & Expo 2016

Last week, a team from RIGID ROBOTICS attended the Society for Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration (SME) Annual Conference & Expo, in Phoenix, Arizona. The Global Mining Standards and Guidelines Group (GMSG) displayed our DriveAssist™ platform at the event.

DriveAssist™ is integrated with GMSG’s proof of concept unified display project. The project hopes to reduce the complexity faced by mining operators by integrating multiple systems and eliminating redundant displays.

During the February 21st to 24th conference and expo, our team discussed DriveAssist™ with attendees from around the industry. More than ever, those within the industry recognize the importance of technology, such as DriveAssist™, in addressing cost, productivity, and safety challenges.

DriveAssist™ Joins GMSG’s Unified Display Project

We are proud to announce that our DriveAssist™ platform is now easily integratable alongside other systems, as part of the Global Mining Standards and Guidelines Group’s Unified Display project.

Thanks recent developments in mining technology, machine operators often use multiple proprietary systems and individual displays. The Unified Display Project is a multiyear effort by GMSG to negate these difficulties.

As a result of our participation in the Unified Display Project, the DriveAssist™ platform will be displayed later this month at The Society for Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration (SME) Annual Conference & Expo, in Phoenix, Arizona. A team from RIGID ROBOTICS will also be on hand at the event, which will take place from February 21st to 24th.

BC Tech Summit 2016

Earlier this week, a team from RIGID ROBOTICS, led by CEO Mehran Motamed, attended the 2016 BC Tech Summit. The summit, which took place January 18th and 19th, served as a showcase of British Columbia’s booming technology sector.

Our team left greatly inspired by the vast number of tech projects happening in Vancouver and around the province. They also enjoyed the opportunity to showcase their progress  on  RIGID ROBOTICS’ upcoming UAS platform.
